It’s small things that you can do and be and say that can make a BIG difference to your customer’s experience to help you show up and stand out in remarkable ways, just like that purple cow, in that busy field in which you operate!

So follow the KISS principle right now… keep your conversations, whether by phone or Face to Face or in writing, simple & straightforward today

Don’t use 20 words when 10 will do.

Speak your customers language – get on their wavelength and mirror and match their words and conversation.

Reflect their tonality and pace and rhythm of sound if you’re speaking to them over the phone or through Skype or Zoom or any other online mechanism, to build rapport and trust.

Because when we’re like people, we like people…

In other words, when you appear to be like the other person, they like you and can relate to you and it’s much easier to build rapport and get people onside.

And of course, people buy people first, remember – and everything else comes tagged on the back of you.

So spend some time this week getting others on-side – show empathy and regard and care and concern for your customers and colleagues – even if it is from a socially-acceptable distance right now.

Rapport is the golden thread of effective communication remember – as the meerkat would say – simples!
