It hardly seems possible – that a husband and wife should not only live together 24/7 but work together 24/7 too – and for a dozen years to boot! While we may have a lot to celebrate and be proud of for having survived 12 years working together, FIT’s success hasn’t really been about that! For those who know us well, you’ll know that Marie & David are rarely seen in the same place, at the same time, on the same day and stay as far away from each others areas of expertise as is humanly possible!
God help us that we ever have Marie sorting out FIT’s finances or the company’s I.T requirements or ever have David in the classroom delivering a workshop or coaching a Customer Service representative in the call centre!
Our real secret of success – the real reason why we’re still together representing a brand that has become synonymous with quality, passion and professionalism in the last 12 years is this – we’re still IN LOVE!
That’s right – we’re still IN LOVE! Not only with each other (lol!!!) but with the business itself – and that’s why we feel that we’re living life on purpose, fulfilling our vision and doing what we’re passionate about. And you know what they say “If you do a job that you love with every fibre of your being, then you’ll never have to do another day’s work in your life”
So that’s why working here in FIT doesn’t feel like work to any of us – not to me, or David, or to Maggie or Mandy or Dee – we’re all still loving what we’re doing, fulfilling our personal values by developing other people to be the very best they can be.
We’re all MAD (remember – it stands for Making A Difference) – and proud to still be doing so after all these years!
